Open from Canada Day Weekend to Labour Day (11 am – 9pm)
Due to seating restrictions, we will not be able to accommodate guests not staying at the resort
Book with Confidence
In these unsettled times, we are committed to putting you and your peace of mind first. The Boathouse will be unable to accommodate guests not staying at the resort, and only limited seating is available in the restaurant itself. Most guests are choosing to have restaurant-style service around the property, such as a table at the beach, in their cottage, or anywhere else, on real plates, with real cutlery and even a bottle of wine.
Food is almost as important to a vacation experience as the destination. And, a trip to cottage country shouldn’t leave you eating chips and hot dogs when there are more interesting dishes to try!
The Boathouse effortlessly blends the quality of fine dining with a warm, casual dockside setting. Resting on the shore of Stoney Lake in an actual former boathouse, the restaurant’s interior is filled with windows offering prized views and letting in glorious sunshine. For the real lake breezes though, you must sit outside on our patio. A well-known secret among locals, boaters, and cottagers, The Boathouse is the best place for a summer lunch or a family dinner.
You don’t need to dress up, but you will want to come hungry!
Menu
Like everything we do at Viamede Resort, The Boathouse dockside menu is guided by our locavore philosophy. The menu features incredible local Ontario meats, seafood, and produce balanced with ingredients from our own farm and forest. The food is playful and seasonal—but always delicious—honouring the wealth of the region.
Tips? No Thanks!
Viamede Resort is completely tip-free. We believe in paying our staff fair wages from the start and don’t believe we should burden guests with extra fees. So, please, don’t leave tips for anyone on the resort. The price you see is the price you pay.
If you really feel the need to do something kind, may we suggest:
- Hug a dog (easy to find around here)
- Pick up a piece of trash
