The jewel of the property is beautiful Stoney Lake, with clean and clear waters, scenic islands, incredible boating and fishing, and fascinating century cottages.

All of our activities and equipment are free for our guests. We have canoes, disc golf, stand-up paddle boards, docks, a water trampoline, bicycles, snowshoeing — you name it.

Viamede Farm.

We have our very own working farm at Viamede, with a motley crew of free-range turkeys, ducks, quail and everyone’s favourite Tamworth pigs! Join us on a free tour every day at 3:30pm.

Fishing with Ben.

No one knows where the fish hide, except the locals. Each morning at 6:00, Ben will be more than happy to share the best spots on Stoney Lake for the plentiful Muskie, bass, and pickerel. Please sign up at the front desk.

Get Wet.

Viamede has several swimming options including a sandy beach for a traditional dip in the clean, beautiful Stoney Lake, an outdoor pool, and a new indoor/outdoor pool with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of the lake year round.

Take a Hike.

There are 9 km of marked walking/hiking trails on the Viamede Resort property, and if you're more adventurous, 165 acres of wooded land to explore. Take some time to spot wildlife, discover mossy rock outcroppings perfect for climbing, and our 100-year-old Viking Oak!

Whoever completes the course in the fewest throws, wins! Viamede Resort has a great 18-hole forest disc golf course on our nature trails. Grab some friends, your discs and come play!

Petroglyphs Provincial Park.

This beautiful park is home to McGinnis Lake, one of the few meromictic (layers of water that don’t intermix) lakes in Canada and the petroglyphs, the largest known cache of Aboriginal rock carvings in the country.

Paddle Stoney Lake at your own pace. The waters are most peaceful in the early morning and early evening. Non-motorized boats are free for guests’ use at Viamede.
